VAT

The business must deal with taxes based on its location and the type of business that affects the taxes that apply to it. The sale tax has one tax default in the system's VAT output. You can determine the tax rates that are applicable to your business based on the goods and services that it deals with.

 Here’s how:

  1. Creating New VAT
  2. Editing VAT
  3. Deleting VAT

 

Creating New VAT

Go to creating a new tax in Localizebook:

  1. Click on the Settings  icon.
  2. Click on the “% Tax”
  3. Click on the “Add” button.

ImageAfter clicking Add, you will be redirected to the below page:

  1. Name: New name tax in your business.
  2. Local Name: (Optional) Enter an alternative name for the tax, perhaps in a local language.
  3. Tax rate: The percentage of your tax.
  4. Asset Account (Required): From the dropdown menu, select the asset account from your Chart of Accounts that will be used to track VAT paid on purchases (Input VAT).
  5. Payable Account (Required): From the dropdown menu, select the liability account from your Chart of Accounts that will be used to track VAT collected on sales (Output VAT).
  6. Memo: Other remarks that relate to your tax.
  7. Make as Default: Check this box to make this VAT rate the default option when creating new transactions.

ImageAfter filling out all of your information:

  1. Save & New: Save the current tax and add another one.
  2. Save & Close: Save the current tax and close the window.
  3. Close: Close this window without saving the current tax.

 

Editing VAT

Go to editing taxs in Localizebook:

  1. Click on the Settings  icon.
  2. Click on the “% Tax”
  3. Click on the tax name that you want to edit.
  4. Click on the “Edit” button.

ImageDeleting VAT

Go to deleting taxs in Localizebook:

  1. Click on the Settings  icon.
  2. Click on the “% Tax”
  3. Click on the tax name that you want to delete.
  4. Click on the “Delete” button.

ImageNote: VAT is already configured in the default system. There is no need to adjust it.
