The Fixed Assets module helps you manage the complete lifecycle of your company's fixed assets, from setup and registration to depreciation, disposal, and asset tracking. It centralizes fixed asset information and automates depreciation based on the configured accounting settings.
Note: Before using the Fixed Assets module, make sure the Fixed Asset feature is activated.
Go to Accounting → Fixed Assets.
The Fixed Assets module consists of the following features:
Fixed Asset Group
The Fixed Asset Group is used to categorize fixed assets with similar accounting settings. It defines the Asset Account, Accumulated Depreciation Account, and Depreciation Expense Account that will be applied when registering and depreciating fixed assets.
Draft
The Draft tab contains fixed assets that have been created but not yet registered. You can review, edit, or complete the asset information before registering it.
Registered
The Registered tab displays all active fixed assets that have been successfully registered. Registered assets are available for depreciation, reporting, and asset management throughout their useful lives.
Disposal
The Disposal tab is used to record the retirement or sale of fixed assets. Once an asset is disposed of, the system updates the asset status and records the appropriate accounting entries based on the disposal transaction.
Fixed Asset Location
The Fixed Asset Location feature allows you to define and manage the physical locations of fixed assets, such as offices, warehouses, departments, or branches. Assigning a location to each asset helps improve asset tracking, verification, and inventory management.
