The Bulk Update Customers feature provides an efficient way to modify the information of multiple customers at the same time. Instead of editing each customer record individually, you can download a customized Excel template, make all your changes in the spreadsheet, and then upload it to apply the updates in one go.
Go to Update Customers into Localizebook system:
- Go to the Accounting menu.
- Click on Bulk Update > Update Customers.
- Click on the “Columns Update” dropdown menu. A list of available Customer fields will appear. Check the box next to each piece of information you want to update.

5. Fill in the information for each function and save your Excel file:
- *CUSTOMER: (Mandatory Field) The unique identifier for the customer (e.g., their primary name). The system uses this exact value to locate the customer record to update.
- CUSTOMER_NAME: The customer’s name, typically in English.
- CUSTOMER_CODE: A unique code assigned to the customer for internal reference (e.g., C1, C2).
- LOCAL_CUSTOMER_NAME: The customer’s name in the local language (in this case, Khmer).
- CUSTOMER_TYPE: The category the customer belongs to (e.g., Retail, Wholesale, VIP).
- SALE_PERSON: The name of the salesperson assigned to this customer.
- REGION: The geographical region or area of the customer.
- ACTIVE: A status field. Enter TRUE if the customer is active and FALSE if they are inactive.
- CURRENCY: The default currency for transactions with this customer (e.g., Dollar, Riel).
- PRICE_LEVEL: The default price tier to apply to this customer’s sales (e.g., Retail Price, Wholesale Price).
- INVOICE_TYPE: The default invoice format for this customer (e.g., TAX_INVOICE, COMMERCIAL_INVOICE).
- CREDIT_LIMIT: The maximum amount of credit that can be extended to the customer.
- CREDIT_TERM: The payment terms, such as the number of days the customer has to pay an invoice.
- VATTIN: The customer’s Value-Added Tax Identification Number.
- IS_ALLOW_OVER_CREDIT: A flag to control sales. Enter TRUE to allow sales to this customer even if they have exceeded their credit limit.
- HOUSE_NO: The house or building number.
- STREET: The street name.
- COMMUNE: The commune or sangkat.
- DISTRICT: The district or khan.
- CITY: The city or province.
- ADDRESS: A field for the complete, single-line formatted address.
- LOCAL_HOUSE_NO: The house number in the local language/script.
- LOCAL_STREET: The street name in the local language/script.
- LOCAL_COMMUNE: The commune name in the local language/script.
- LOCAL_DISTRICT: The district name in the local language/script.
- LOCAL_CITY: The city name in the local language/script.
- EMAIL: The primary email address for the customer.
- PHONE: The primary phone number for the customer.
- ACONTACT_NAME: The name of a specific contact person.
- CONTACT_PHONE: The phone number for the specific contact person.
- CONTACT_EMAIL: The email address for the specific contact person.
- MEMO: A free-text field for any internal notes or details about the customer.
- BRANCHES: Used to associate the customer with specific company branches (e.g., PP, KD), likely using predefined branch codes.

6. After filling in all the information, please go back to the system:
- Click on Browse File and select the template with your item data, and preview your item details. If data is loaded, you are ready to import. But if there is any error, messages will be shown.
- Click on Import to import your items into Localize.
