Package

A Package combines existing items into one package and automatically deducts the defined quantities of each item when the package is sold.

Last updated: Oct 5, 2026

A Package lets you combine existing items into a single package. The items used in the package must already be available in the item list.

For example, if Keyboard and Wireless Mouse are already registered as items(Stock part/Stock Assembly/Service), you can create a Keyboard + Mouse package by selecting those items as sub-items. You do not need to create the items again.

When to Use a Package

Use a package when you want to combine existing items and offer them together as one package.

Example:

A Keyboard + Mouse package contains:

  1. 1 Keyboard
  2. 1 Wireless Mouse

The Keyboard and Wireless Mouse remain existing items in the system, while Keyboard + Mouse is created as a new package.

Create a Package

1. Enter the Package Information

Open the Add Item or Edit Item screen.

Under General Information, enter the package details.

Item Type

Select Package.

Name (English)

Enter the name of the package.

Example: Keyboard + Mouse

Code

Enter the package code if your system requires one.

Local Name

Enter the package name in the local language, if applicable.

Item Group

Select the appropriate item group.

Item Brand

Select the brand if applicable.

Memo

Enter any additional information about the package.

Enable the appropriate options:

  1. For Purchase — Select this if the package is available for purchasing.
  2. For Sale — Select this if the package is available for sale.
  3. Active — Select this to make the package active.

2. Add Existing Items to the Package

Go to the Sub-Item tab.

Use the empty row to add the items that will be included in the package.

  1. Select an existing item from the Item dropdown.
  2. Enter the Description, if needed.
  3. Enter the Qty for the item.
  4. Click the Save icon to add the sub-item.

Repeat the same steps to add additional items.

Example

For a Keyboard + Mouse package:

ItemDescriptionQty
KeyboardKeyboard1
Wireless MouseWireless Mouse1

The quantity represents how many units of each item are included in one package.

3. Review the Package Contents

Before saving, check the Sub-Item list to make sure:

  1. All required items have been added.
  2. The correct existing items are selected.
  3. Each item has the correct quantity.
  4. The package contains only the items you want to include.

If an item was added by mistake, click the Delete icon (red X) on that row.

Deleting a sub-item from the package does not delete the original item. It only removes the item from the package.

4. Save the Package

When all information is complete, click Save & Close.

The package is now created and can be managed as a package using its existing sub-items.

Note: The quantity set for each sub-item determines how much stock is deducted when the package is sold. Therefore, make sure the quantities are set correctly when creating the package.
